Ginose's Top Ten
|
01.
Ichi The Killer
(#1) Not necisarilly the BEST film of all time, but certainly my favorite. The casting was perfect. The performances were perfect (even the children and minor charecters... now that was impressive). Above all else, I beleive this to be one of the most beautiful stories of all time.

02.
Cemetery Man
(#2) Absolutely splendid. A movie that had me feeling for the charecters and their plights while, at the same time, had me laughing my ass off at some of the more depressing aspects of the story.
|
03.
Battle Royale
(#3) Aside from just being a lovely movie with amazing performances it truly made me think. I like a movie that provokes thought but doesn't take anything away from the entertainment.
|
04.
Blue Velvet
(#5) One of the most atmospheric movies ever made. I give this one the majority of it's score for the acting (primarily Hopper, who gives me nightmares to this day).
|
05.
Videodrome
(#6) Potentially a favorite of mine because I'm a terrible pervert, but I really enjoyed the psychological mixes of terror and eroticism. I don't think there wasn't a moment during this movie that I wasn't eager to see what would happen next.

06.
Visitor Q
(#7) One of the best uses of budget I've ever seen. This is one of the most disgusting and yet addictive movies ever made. As I watched it, the disturbing thought that I may actually understand some of the charecters, on a personal level, alwyas scratched at my mind. Now that is some amazing writing.

07.
Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas
(#9) Aside from this being my second favorite Hunter S. Thompson book of all time it truly felt like a perfect adaptationof the story. I loved Depp and Del Toro as if they were actually their charecters and the dialouge had me laughing my ass off. An amazingly insightful (and entertaining) commentary.

08.
Shaun Of The Dead
(#10) these boys are some of the funniest bastards around, and this zombie parody proved that their humor is international. Witty, practical, and even juvenille humor meshed so well into this one, it was hard to beleive that it ended when it did. Looking forward to their next project.
