What can be said? This movie is a classic, comedy gold all the way through.
Peter represents anyone who's ever had to work a shitty job, with shitty bosses, doing shitty work. Almost everyone can relate with the things that are going on here, be it the droning boss, or the company equipment that won't work as planned, or the big bosses who have no idea about what actually goes on at the job. Good ol' Mike hit the nail on the head with his representations of the modern workplace. The restaraunt business is briefly touched upon, with the waitress who has to wear 'flair' for her job; flair being pins and buttons. The boss expects more and more from her, always pointing to the do-gooding waiter who kisses everyones ass. Now tell me, any of you working stiffs out there had such happen?
There's loads of classic scenes and lines to be found in this movie, which would take forever to list off. One in particular, however, just rules the rest. One of the machines in the office is a piece of shit, it never works right; always eating paper, always giving out cryptic error messages. When the boys are fired, they take said machine out to a field and give it quite the gangsta beatdown. That scene is one of the single funniest moments in cinematic history, in my opinion.
The acting by everyone is done top notch. When you can watch a movie and identify with almost everyone portrayed ("I know a guy just like that"), you know they did something right. The storyline flows pretty realistically, but stays interesting throughout.
