Scott's first film of 2010 tells the story of Dr. Tom Griswold, who has spent the last few years working on his pride and joy, a TIME MACHINE , which due to limitations on budget (as well as not wanting to change the past) will only take the user back in time for 2 minutes. When Tom is turned down for a grant by scientist Dr. Kent Berbingham, he leaves his job one night, and is verbally berated by co-worker Wilson. Shortly after, Wilson is murdered. As he is questioned by his friend, undercover cop Luther, Tom recounts his story and soon comes to believe that he may use the time machine in the future for his revenge. --Official Site

Tom's Two-Minute Time Machine is a Sci-Fi comedy about Tom Griswold (Wilbur Scott), and his quest to get funding and build a time machine that will take you into the past for two minutes. Why two minutes you ask? You get two minutes because "you can't fuck things up too much with only two minutes". Tom's partner in all of this is his specially challenged friend Wayne (Wilbur Scott), who is also trying to bang Tom's wife Joan (Melissa Green). Tom's working on getting a grant to help with his work, but after finding out that he can't get any funding, he decides he can do it on his own to prove everyone wrong. Once Tom realizes that the machine works and that he can change things in his life with it, the film really starts to pick up. The ending, while I won't spoil it, really ties the film together nicely and wraps up the craziness of Tom's life.

Wilbur Scott, who both directed the film and plays the lead character, does a pretty good job playing the films antagonist. His delivery of most of his lines are pretty good, but the times when he gets mad and uses one of his stupid catch phrases really shine for his character. I also have to give him a lot of credit, as he decided to take on the role of Wayne, which is probably up there as the most fun anyone could ever have in a movie role.

As far as indie films go, TTTTM is pretty much the standard fare in most ways. The camera work is good, but it's obviously filmed on a lower quality camera. There's a lot of scenes that are shot extremely close to either the characters face, or a random part on their body, but there's no real complaints about that aspect. The background music fits the times that it's in, but the sound effects they use for things such as gunshots (which I'm pretty sure is the Doom shotgun noise), or the time machine "working" are a little poor. The time machine noise specifically (which sounds like a horrible techno beat) made my subwoofer very unhappy.

One thing I definitely have to give the movie credit for is the writing. There are so many hilariously stupid sayings and insults peppered throughout the movie, that even if the movie wasn't supposed to be funny, I was laughing my ass off anyway. I don't care who you are, hearing a retarded person yell "I thought it was lube!" after apparently using Elmer's Glue to jerk off is comedy gold.

As a whole, Tom's Two-Minute Time Machine is an enjoyable way to spend an hour of your time. You'll laugh at the jokes, you'll laugh at the plot, and you'll just laugh at Wayne. I would recommend this movie as the type of movie where you invite a whole bunch of friends over, get drunk, and just laugh your asses off.

8/10.

I help Mr. Wilbur Scott finish the last half of the movie at my house. I changed most of the dialogue and add a lot of the funny elements. I also played the last chararter. Mr. Wilbur Scott forgot to credit me. Only credited himself and his wife.
