01. The Big Lebowski (1998)
After being so let down by the hyped-up "Fargo", I didn't quite feel like sitting through another faux-witty ego trip. The wit here is quite real, my friends. Quite hillarious, too.

02. Bug (2006)
(1.) It's a modern horror movie. (2.) It had almost no hype prior to its release. (3.) It was based on a play. The tension of this movie blew me away.

03. The Host (2006)
I love kaiju. I love Korea. I love moster movies with a message. I hate when a movie does so well in it's home country that Hollywood snatches up the remake rights, right away. I figured it be full of shit that would primarily appeal to Americans... wooo... that was a shocker.

04. Event Horizon (1997)
A sci-fi/horror that I'd never heard of and was randomly on AMC... I was not ready to be impressed. Holy shit, this one was creepy.

05. The Faculty (1998)
All I'd seen were Rodriguez's pulp-westerns. Needless to say I was just expecting another teen horror movie. Suprise, suprise...

06. Scream 2 (1997)
Sequels to modern popular slasher movies are almost always crap. Wow. Never mind.

07. Freddy vs. Jason (2003)
I'd waited years for it and I just knew that they would fuck it up. Guess I knew less than I thought.

08. Sleepaway Camp (1983)
I'd heard alot of mixed reviews, and it sounded like some bullshit rip-off of "Friday the 13th". This was actually a fairly original movie.

09. Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998)
Come on, now. A sequel that completely ignores the last three movies and was made 20 years after the movie that preceeds it. What was I supoosed to expect?

10. Prince Of Darkness (1987)
Something about it just seemed too boring... too repetative and unoriginal for my taste. This is now one of my top 15 horror movies.

11. Return Of The Living Dead 3 (1993)
Remember what I said about sequels? What do you think my opinion on "3"s? Especially when the first sequal was shit?

12. Slashers (2002)
It had the Fangoria logo on it and, with that, I'm still not sure why I even rented it. Am I glad I did, though.

13. The Stand (1994)
It's another fucking Stephen King mini-series based on a book I didn't even like. Amazing detail and an impressively well-assembled cast puts this one up with the original "Salem's Lot", for me.
