The Cabin In The Woods
|
|
Yeah, this is a great movie and I am surprised it
took such a long time to get reviewed. Let me
just say that I am not much of a horror fan, but I
thoroughly enjoyed this flick. I thought it was
pretty hilarious and totally creative. I didn't
really know what to expect going in either. The
previews I saw painted a very different picture
than what I saw, but I trusted Joss Whedon enough
and knew I'd be able to find something I liked.
Everyone did a great job and really, the only
thing I have to say is that I was not a fan of the
CGI hand. If you've seen it, you know what I
mean. I appreciated all the other visuals for
what they were, but that part really bothered me
and still does every time I watch this movie.
Such a sour note to leave off on, but I guess if
that's the worst thing about it, that's pretty
damn good. I'd say 10/10 as well.

The Lords Of Salem
|
|
I totally agree with your closing statement.
Myself and everyone I know who saw this film felt
the same way I did. Which was something along the
lines of, "I can't believe I just wasted time
and money on this utter piece of crap."
Polarized fans is right. After I got home from
watching this on opening weekend in a near empty
theater despite the fact that it was the only one
to host this movie in town, I had to look up some
reviews and try to understand what I might've
missed. Views were so spectacularly polarized, I
couldn't believe it.
Anyway, my biggest
problem with this movie was that what little
storyline it had was just a complete jumbled mess
that never came to a conclusion. I felt like this
movie must've been the subject of some extreme
rewrites and editing. Due to the length of time
it took to release it and things like, Sid Haig
being all, but completely edited out despite his
credit. It started off with some potential, but
ended up going nowhere. The pace was something
akin to a watching a special olympic hurdler who
then stumbles over the last few hurdles before
ending up completely flat on their face.
Seriously, the last half hour or so just looked
like some sort of hack job music video with a
bunch of naked old women in fat suits. I really
have no idea what the message or point of this
movie's existence is and the fact that it has
drawn comparisons to some very well know and
classic movies is just absurd to me.

Resident Evil: Retribution
|
|
Okay, I'm actually a fan of this franchise and I
take the movies at face value. However, even I
have to agree that this was a waste of a movie.
Frankly, the series could have stopped at trilogy
or quadrilogy and I thought for sure, this would
be the last one what with the big reunion and what
not, but no. This movie served absolutely no
purpose and did nothing, but segue into the next
film that may or may not be made. I hate stuff
like that. The whole thing was just filler.
Introducing new beloved characters from the game
and not developing them at all before killing them
off and as you said, bringing back old characters
for no reason whatsoever was all pointless.
I also agree that Wesker taking away her
powers was as pointless as giving them back to her
because nothing changed. She's still a dead shot
and flipping around like there's no tomorrow.
Plus, Chris, Clair and K-Mart being completely
absent and never mentioned really bothered me.
Where did they go? Why weren't they on the ship
being gunned down with everyone else or thrown
into the water with Alice? None of it made any
sense. It just served as setup for the next movie
and it didn't even manage to do that well.
I will say that I disagree with you on the
action and acting. I didn't have a problem with
either and I thoroughly enjoyed the first sequence
with the bike lock and chain. Stuff like that was
great. Also, I cannot stand Michelle Rodriguez
and I don't see someone with here build and/or
attitude being offered roles left and right.
|
Underworld: Awakening
|
|
This is not my favorite franchise, but I did
thoroughly enjoy "Evolution" and was
curious about this entry. On the one hand, I'm
kind of glad Scott Speedman is gone as I was never
a fan of his, but on the other hand, I hate when
they replace main characters in a series. I was
also a little leery of Kate Beckinsale holding up
the entire movie. I mean, she's pretty and all,
but she's not much of an actress. Good to know,
she can hold her own. All in all, thanks for the
review. I will probably check this one out.
P.S. Best phrase from your review
"Anne Franking it up." Simply awesome.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows
|
|
That slow motion crap drove me nuts too! It was
used just enough in the first, but they could have
easily shaved 30 minutes off the running time if
they had ditched some of it here. I was really
disappointed by the rather unceremonious demise of
a certain character. Plus, I also found Noomi
Rapace a little hard to get used to and she didn't
even have that many lines. Her character didn't
feel as integral as she was supposed to be. Also,
the flow of the story was a little weird I
thought. I mean he spends at least a half an hour
just convincing Watson to come with him on this
journey and then we reach the end at what feels
like a really quick pace (minus all of the slow
motion). Overall, it was decent, but I didn't
like it as much as the first.
|
Super 8
|
|
Yeah, I'm just stating my opinion is all, but if
you've got a better explanation of the ending, do
tell. That was my biggest problem with this movie
and if you can flesh it out more than it was on
screen, go for it. I get that the kid was just
trying to rescue the girl he liked and I
understand the alien was initially trying to
rebuild his ship to leave. What I don't
understand is why he was hanging around continuing
to kill and kidnap people when his ship was
seemingly complete. From the amount of bodies he
had in the cave, he was planning on sticking
around for a while. It's like he was waiting for
someone to tell him to go and the boy just
happened to be the one. That's where I was
completely lost. Maybe, I totally misunderstood.
|
Super 8
|
|
I didn't care for this movie much at all. What
with it's Cloverfield method of revealing the
monster. Did we really need another one of those?
Also, the ending was completely lackluster. This
alien has been killing and capturing people this
whole time, but all he needed was one little boy
to tell him to go home? Seriously, he had the
ability, but needed that extra push? I didn't get
it at all. The whole premise was pretty lame and
some of the kids really annoyed me.
|
Bad Santa
|
|
I've seen this movie several times and I was
always sober. I think it's hilarious and everyone
in it does a great job. It's one of the few
comedies in this genre that I actually find laugh
out loud funny. Even after many viewings. John
Ritter is probably my favorite and I always miss
him a little after watching this.
|
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1
|
|
Let me just start by saying that this was my
second favorite book in the series and this movie
was pretty atrocious. It was the worst and most
inaccurate installment in the series hands down.
The previews appealed to me because it appeared
that they took the first part further in the book
than I thought they would. What they didn't show
were the liberties they took with the original
storyline and the blatant disregard for some key
moments. I'd definitely have to reread some
portions to check myself, but examples include
Carlisle's absence during the birth, Esme, Emmet
and Carlisle's quick showdown with the pack and
the housekeepers. Nothing about this movie said
Twilight aside from the obvious. From the lack of
humor to those awful red and black credits. The
beginning was slow and boring, they didn't focus
on Jacob much at all despite the fact that he has
a huge narrative in the book and the end was a
complete fumble. Also, the overuse of CGI was
really tacky and you are so right about the wolf
argument scene. God I was laughing at all the
wrong places throughout this entire thing.
I've never claimed that these are serious
movies that should be given their due. They're
simply entertaining mellow drama with a distinct
feel. They chose the way wrong director for these
final two movies and it sucks that they're going
to end this delightfully shallow serious on such a
bad note.
On a side note, I am Team
Emmett all the way. Why are there never any
shirtless Emmett moments? He puts both of the
male leads to shame and at least he's got a sense
of humor.
|
The Grudge 2
|
|
I just don't think they look or act anything
alike. When I saw the previews, I didn't get that
they were sisters at all. I was like, "Oh, I
wonder how Amber Tamblyn fits in?" I think I
read it somewhere before I saw the movie and found
it a little laughable.
|
Problem Child
|
|
I also loved this movie when I was a kid and
rented it on "new release day". Ah,
times have changed. At any rate, I had a similar
experience as you with Stay Tuned (another John
Ritter classic). A movie I loved as a kid, bought
it, let it sit forever in fear and finally watched
it. Though, I haven't seen Problem Child since I
was a kid, I may give this one another shot. I
remember liking the sequel as well. When Junior
meets his match.
|
Green Lantern
|
|
@BuryMeAlive, I didn't say I agreed with it. I
said most people would chalk it up to Iron Man
(based on what I've read about the box office
sales and what not). Besides, I don't remember an
absolute barrage of superhero movies in theaters
like what we've had as of late. Plus, most of the
latest crop have been Marvel characters (Punisher,
Thor, X-Men, Captain America, Ghost Rider, The
Avengers, Spider-Man, etc.) Just like, Iron Man.
|
Green Lantern
|
|
While I agree that superhero movies have been
filmed in throngs lately, the original Batman and
Superman franchises were blockbusters in their
day. Christopher Nolan's Batman franchise
certainly did not start this flood. In fact, most
people would put that on the huge success of Iron
Man and its sequel.
Nice review. This
looked average or below. What with the fairly
lame cast and over abundance of CGI. I'd be
interested to hear what a hardcore fan of the
comics has to say about the storyline. I always
liked the Green Lantern in the cartoons, but I
don't know his original origins.
|
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
|
|
Well, I'm glad somebody finally reviewed this and
praised it at that. I loved this movie! I went
in with little expectations as I am not a Michael
Cera fan in the least and based on the storyline,
it sounded lame. However, a friend of mine who is
a fan of the graphic novels and an excellent
preview, convinced me to see it. I loved
everything about this flick. Now that I've read
the novels for myself, I don't think Michael Cera
could have been more perfectly cast. I thought he
played the character to a tee and I actually found
him very humorous and at times even endearing.
Which, was totally new for me because I'm the
first to agree that he basically plays himself in
every movie and is completely typecast. Everyone
else was almost flawlessly cast as well.
Specifically, Johnny Simmons, Kieran Culkin and
Anna Kendrick. I truly felt like the first
several books were literally brought to life on
screen. I don't think it could have been done any
better. First and foremost, I found this movie to
be a comedy first and an action/visual effects
movie second with romance bringing up the rear.
Despite the fact that it's about a boy trying to
win a girl, I never felt like that was
overpowering. Every scene had something funny in
it whether it was a great one-liner, a visual cue
or a great nostalgic reference. Hell, they could
just be standing in a room and I would find
someone's t-shirt design clever. The visuals were
phenomenal. It looked and felt like a video game
in every way possible. Even the opening with the
Universal logo all pixelated and the digital theme
music. I just loved how every detail was thought
of. My only problem with this movie was how far
it strayed from the last couple of books, but in
all fairness, the series wasn't complete when they
began filming this movie and Bryan Lee O'Malley
gave it his blessing. So, what more could you ask
for? I was pleasantly surprised by this movie and
thoroughly entertained.
|
Scary Movie
|
|
This is pretty much the only one of these kind of
parodies that I find funny. "I said a dollar
bitch!" I really wish they all continued to
be this good. Scary Movie 3 made a bit of a
comeback, but for the most part these are pretty
bad. Date Movie or Epic Movie? Beyond awful.
There were a lot of great moments in this movie
though, but my favorite parts were with Cheri
Oteri. "You're on my foot fat shit!" or
"Kenny, hold my gum!". Classic.
|
Salt
|
|
Though I'm a fan of hers, that is one of the worst
justifications I've ever heard. She alone is the
only reason you liked the movie? She could read
excerpts from the dictionary and it would be a
6/10 and if you don't think so you're
automatically gay? Wow.

I'm glad someone finally reviewed this. I
personally love Angelina Jolie and think she's a
great actress in many of her non action movies,
but I love when she's kicking ass because she's
great at it. Plus, she's one of the few females
who can pull this off well. Which, is why when
Tom Cruise was replaced, they were able to switch
genders. I've never read the book, but I'd be
interested to see what other major liberties they
took with the storyline. Yes, the story was
pretty unbelievable, but Angelina provided all the
entertainment I needed. I mean, she's a fucking
machine! If you watch the alternate versions of
the movie, they're pretty different than the
theatrical release. Some cuts make it better and
some make it worse. Personally, my only problem
with this movie was the complete lack of finality
at the end. Oh, and her dressing up as a dude was
a little hard to take and kind of disturbing.
Overall, I was entertained. It is an action movie
after all. I wasn't looking for depth or Oscar
winning performances. On a side note, despite the
fact that Angelina Jolie has naturally long dark
hair, I'm convinced she was wearing a wig in every
single scene. Which, I found odd.
|
Despicable Me
|
|
This was a pretty good movie, but the minions are
overrated. I swear, anytime one of them even
appeared on screen, the entire theater was in an
uproar. It was absurd. Oh, and I did see it in
3D and it added absolutely nothing. So, seeing it
in 2D would have been the better way to go.
|
Cast Away
|
|
I remember seeing this on Christmas Eve of
whatever year that was with all of the other women
in my family. We pretty much all agreed that it
was way too long. Granted, Hanks did a hell of a
job and I appreciated the fact that the only
moments of levity were provided through a
volleyball with a less than original name, but it
was dull. I've never watched this again, nor do I
have any desire to. In my opinion, Forrest Gump
is ten times the movie this is. I mean, the
entertainment value alone puts Cast Away to shame.
It seems the only reason to even make a movie
like this is to get your lead actor an Oscar
nomination. Which apparently works wonders.
|
Red Riding Hood
|
|
I'm sorry you were disappointed, but your review
is 90% positive and yet you gave it a 3/10. I'm a
little confused about that. I personally enjoyed
this movie. I didn't mind the obligatory
Twilight-esque love triangle because it seems to
be a staple in movies like this. Though, I could
do without it, I didn't find it distracting or
over-powering. The movie isn't brilliant by any
means, I figured out the ending in the first 10
minutes. What I liked so much about it were, as
you say, the visuals. CGI, lame, but everything
else was great and I love pretty much everyone in
the cast. Which, was a big draw for me. True, I
wasn't blown away by anyones performance, but I
didn't find anyone as unbearable as you seemed to.
My favorite thing about this movie was that it
remained true to the Red Riding Hood story.
Apparently you disagree, but all of the elements
were there, they just added some things. It's
difficult to turn a brief fairy tale into a full
length feature and I liked most of the elements
that were added. What exactly was missing for
you?
|
Batman Returns
|
|
This is my favorite Batman movie bar none. The
cast was incredible and I loved the storyline. I
have to say, even if the movie was total crap,
Michelle Pfeiffer's performance was so captivating
she could have saved the whole movie for me, but
everyone was great! Michael Keaton will always be
the only Batman as far as I'm concerned, Danny
DeVito was born to play the Penguin and
Christopher Walken was awesome too. One of the
few sequels to top the original in my opinion.
|
Blade
|
|
This is the only Blade movie as far as I'm
concerned. The sequels were nothing, but
disappointing for me. I'm not jaded because I
never read the comics, but I loved the storyline
and pretty much the entire cast. Plus, I love
Stephen Dorff and Wesley Snipes. Normally, I side
with the villains, but I was rooting for them both
equally and I really missed Deacon Frost in the
sequels. This is definitely a great
vampire/action flick.
|
The Wolfman
|
|
Oh yeah, did anyone else notice a big difference
in the two cuts? I saw this in the theater and
then watched the director's cut on DVD and despite
the fact that apparently there are 17 added
minutes, I didn't notice much of a change.
|
The Wolfman
|
|
Well. I'm glad somebody finally reviewed this.
That being said, I disagree with most of it.
True, I haven't seen the original in a long time,
but the basic storyline that I remember remained
intact. I thought everyone did a good job. I
mean there were no Oscar worthy performances and
Benicio Del Toro was a bit flat, but the ensemble
was just fine. Plus, for me, Emily Blunt can kind
of do no wrong. I think what happened to this
movie was the fact that it changed hands. I
remember reading how they were relying entirely on
makeup and there was limited CGI because Benicio
was that good and then I believe the Director
changed before the movie's completion and the next
thing I read talked about how much it had changed.
I was expecting much more from this movie, but it
was decent and I have watched it again. My
biggest problem with it was the overuse of CGI. I
mean even the animals were CGI, like the gypsy
bear. There was no reason for that. Also, why
didn't the gypsy woman tell Gwen the way to break
the curse? That annoyed me. Overall, I didn't
find it cheesy or boring, but it was
disappointing. So, I'd say 6/10.
|
Secret Window
|
|
Wow, drone put it perfectly. I can't believe
everyone else loved it. So dull.
|
Underworld: Evolution
|
|
I actually liked this one. Considering how much I
disliked the first, I was pleasantly surprised.
|
Last Action Hero
|
|
As did I. Plus, I actually love this review. I
agree with pretty much everything. Except I think
this movie is way better at poking fan at it's own
genre than Scream. Everything was really well
done here.
|
Sin City
|
|
I thought it was great to see the graphic novels
so perfectly adapted. The cinematography was
spectacular and so was the casting. True, you
can't really call it an adaptation, but if it
ain't broke don't fix it.
|
The Doom Generation
|
|
I totally own this movie and I pull it out once in
a while for sure, but there are some moments that
make me cringe. My favorite part about this movie
is that it's what got Rose McGowan cast in
Jawbreaker. Which is her best performance to
date, in my opinion. Well, that and Lewis and
Clark and George, but she also steals the show in
this movie. Though, all of the performances were
great. I'm with you on the independent films for
sure. Those are some of my favorites and I do
appreciate what they can get away with, but
sometimes I feel like they take it too far just
because they can. I also loved some of the
scenery in this movie. I mean all of the bizarre
hotel rooms they stayed in and the Nine Inch Nails
heavy soundtrack was also great.
|
Halloween II
|
|
Has anyone else seen both the theatrical release
as well as the director's cut? They are radically
different and you could have a completely
different take on this movie depending on which
version you've seen. I much prefer the director's
cut. Anyway, just curious if anyone else had seen
both.
|
Jack Frost 2: Revenge Of The Mutant Killer Snowman
|
|
Does anyone remember the family film starring
Michael Keaton entitled "Jack Frost"? I
remember seeing the first one on video shelves and
thinking it was odd and also really funny that
they had used the same title. I caught some of
this movie on TV and changed channels almost
immediately. I like comedic horror like Tremors,
but this was just stupid in my opinion.
|
Predators
|
|
I agree with most of this review as well.
Although, I will say that I had no problem buying
Adrien Brody as a badass. He was the main reason
I wanted to see this Predator effort because I
haven't liked any of them since the original. He
was my favorite part. I thought the storyline was
awful, Topher Grace annoyed me as much as he
always does playing the only character he seems to
be able to pull off, I didn't care for the lead a
girl at all because she was totally doing a
Michelle Rodriguez impression and I hate her and
I wanted to see more of Danny Trejo and Laurence
Fishburne. Yes, they did have top billing and yes
Laurence Fishburne's character was a total joke
and I didn't care for any of the other characters
either or the lame CGI. Yeah, I probably would
have liked it a bit more if it was a stand alone
movie, but the sequel aspect completely killed it
for me. I don't think I'll be seeing anymore
Predator movies.
|
Friday The 13th
|
|
I agree with a bunch of you. This movie is
completely terrible. I missed the whole
"where are you gun?" line, but there
were two parts that I thought were so hilarious
that I watched them repeatedly. They were the
only highlights of this movie. I loved the girl
getting stabbed through the dock in the head and
then Jason knocking her head against the dock to
remove the blade. When did she lose her top?
Also, when tough asshole guy screams like a women
when the dead body hits his car. I thought about
that for days afterwards. At least "The
Nightmare on Elm Street" stayed pretty true
to the original and was watchable. This didn't
seem like a remake or even a Jason movie for that
matter. Pure crap.
|
Devil
|
|
That's awesome. The theater that I was in,
everyone collectively groaned when they saw
Shyamalan's name pop up. I didn't know he had
anything to do with this and I had no interest in
five people crammed in an elevator for 2 hours.
Then when I saw his name I knew it would be all or
nothing. You seem to be a bigger fan of his than
I am and I haven't seen this movie. So, it's not
far for me to judge, but I will say that The Sixth
Sense and Unbreakable were great. The rest of his
films and I have seen all of them, I could have
done without. So, for me, that's a pretty bad
track record. He's like an author where you read
two or three books and you know that all of the
others are going to have the same elements and the
same gotcha ending. When you know what to expect,
it's no longer suspenseful and some of the
explanations are just stupid. That's my problem
with his movies. I may catch this one on DVD just
for kicks. Thanks for the review.
|
Superbad
|
|
I thought this movie was great and ridiculously
quotable. "Thanks to that used Tampon
Fogle". Awesome.
|
Forgetting Sarah Marshall
|
|
I love how both of the girls are gorgeous and none
of the men are attractive in the least. I mean, I
knew I wouldn't find this movie very funny, but
there wasn't even any hot guys to hold my
attention. Paul Rudd's brief appearances were
decent though. Some decent performances, but not
too funny.
|
Catwoman
|
|
I totally agree with all of the comments that say
this movie sucked/blew. It really is laughable.
I love Sharon Stone and even she couldn't save
this. I don't even know why they called this
Catwoman, seeing as how it doesn't follow any
Catwoman story line ever. It was just an excuse
to have Halle Berry dress up in a God awful
costume and act like a cat. Totally atrocious.
|
Machete
|
|
Well, I figured you needed the heads up.
Especially considering you were never part of that
conversation to begin with.
|
Stand By Me
|
|
The best is chubby ass Jerry O'Connell with a
lisp. "They was flippin' for beers".
Classic. Oh, and River Phoenix was ridiculously
talented and hot, no matter what age he was.
R.I.P. a real loss in my opinion.
|
Machete
|
|
Uh, I thought this topic was settled. I think me
and ben wasden have come to an understanding and
since then, the comments have concerned the movie
itself.
|
Machete
|
|
I'll agree with that. Meanwhile, even though I'm
a girl, I still have to see this movie. I hope I
like it half as much as most of you seem to.
|
Machete
|
|
I liked "Planet Terror". It was
"Death Proof" that I thought was so
dull.
|
Machete
|
|
I'm not biased against Tarantino, I just thought
those movies totally blew. I like the Kill Bills
and Reservoir Dogs. Also, I think "guy
movies" is a perfectly appropriate term. I
just think it's sad if you really think those
types of movies are the only ones that appeal to a
guy. I mean, that's ridiculously limiting.
|
Machete
|
|
Guy movies? That's about the dumbest thing I've
ever heard. You make it sound like mindless
action movies with no story line are the only kind
of movies meant for guys. How very sad and
limiting for you. I completely agree with Murder
on this matter "Death Proof" was one of
the most boring and pointless movies I've ever
seen in my entire life. Although, I will say that
"Inglorious Basterds" tops it on my list
of awful movies. "Planet Terror" was at
least decent, but by far, the best parts of the
Grindhouse showing was the fake trailers,
"Don't". Awesome. Back to the topic at
hand though, sorry. I was sketchy about seeing
this and was wondering it it was as good as the
fake trailer. So, thanks for the timely review.
|
The Outsiders
|
|
I also read the book and saw the movie in the 8th
grade. Hee hee. Awesome. I remember liking the
book better than the movie, but the movie was
good. The best part was seeing all of those
people who had become big names share the screen
when they were starting out. Patrick Swayze was
great.
|
Barbarella
|
|
I love Jane Fonda and this movie is moderately
entertaining. It would probably be most enjoyable
will tripping balls. My favorite parts are that
she has about a hundred costume changes, is
compared to James Bond on the cover, but is
ridiculously naive and when she says
"hello" in dire situations. Yeah, the
parakeet and doll attacks were pretty funny.
Plus, I love that any injuries she received
magically disappear with her next costume change.
This movie could have been so much better, but it
offers some classic camp and I love that
Barbarella's wide eyed demeanor is maintained no
matter what's happening. 5/10
|
After.Life
|
|
Thank you for reviewing this 385. My biggest
problem with this were the plot holes. SPOILERS
GALORE: She is alive, that is for certain and she
is in Deacon's care for three days. Why does she
not need food or water or to use the bathroom
ever? I know this made up drug is supposed to
give you all of the signs of death, but why is she
so unfeeling? Like when he's stitching up her
forehead (which heals throughout the movie) or
when she hits her hand on the slab repeatedly and
why wouldn't it be broken or at least bruised? I
agree that Christina Ricci, Liam Neeson and even
the kid did a great job and the concept was
interesting, but I had a lot of problems with this
movie. Justin Lon was awful, like he is in
everything. Why is he so appealing to casting
directors? Aside from him, I really would have
liked to get to know Anna better. Why has she
given up so completely? In the flashbacks she's
happy and they allude to some event happening, but
never say what it is. They introduce the mother
so generically and try to throw a back story at
us. Apparently Anna took care of her and Paul has
"taken her away". I almost wish they
hadn't introduced the mother at all. Also, Paul
and Anna's relationship is pretty important to the
story, yet they didn't build it up at all. We
have almost no understanding of what they meant to
each other. As you said, Paul totally loses it
and we don't really know why. I thought the most
disturbing thing was that Deacon was able to
recruit the kid. Who seemed like he might have
been a hero, but will instead turn into a serial
killer. What's with his catatonic mom and why is
she like 90?
Seriously, interesting
concept, good performances, but plot holes and
poor supporting story line all the way around.
The only reason I could see anyone enjoying this
is for Christina Ricci's nude scenes, but she's
been naked before and in better movies. I feel
like I wasted my time with this one.

No, this is nothing like the graphic novel.
Here's an example: Fox is supposed to be a black
girl with short hair, no tattoos and wears a
costume complete with ears. She should have been
played by Halle Berry, but is instead played by
Angelina Jolie.
Despite the movie
having practically nothing to do with the comic, I
love this movie! I admit that if Angelina Jolie
wasn't in it, I wouldn't like it half as much, but
it's great. It's eye candy all the way and James
McAvoy does such a great job of playing the
unlikely hero. Some of the highlights are when he
smacks his friend across the face with a keyboard
and the broken keys and a tooth spell out
"fuck you" and hearing Morgan Freeman
say "shoot this mothafucka." Priceless.
I mean there aren't any Oscar winning
performances or a deep story line, but I thought
everyone did a good job and it was visually
entertaining.

The best part about this movie was the soundtrack.
Oh, and Danny Masterson and Johnny Lee Miller are
hot.

I love Joss Whedon and every series he's done
aside from "Firefly". I was dragged to
this movie and I to was bored to tears. Although,
Alan Tudyk is always entertaining. Yarr.
