Dr. Giggles
|
|
Hrrrrmmm...ok. I have been saying for a very long
time that it was the worst movie ever made.
Whenever a really bad movie would come up, I would
always throw this one out for comparison. I saw it
in the theater and just hated it. That was so long
ago now however. I will revisit it and give it a
second shot. Maybe time has given it charm. I just
remember walking out (something I never ever EVER
do) and cursing how I would never get that time
back. The three of you however have made some
excellent cases and reviews so I am up for another
shot at it.

Subspecies

The face he makes when they first see him...we
watch that over and over for laughs. Anyone ever
see a prop replica of thee Bloodstone? ME WANT!

The Devil's Plaything
|
|
I love this little flick. I have it and Devil's
Plaything. Wish I had a coven of vampies like that
in my wine cellar! Hrrrm.... Wish I had a wine
cellar.

Bubba Ho-Tep

A geriatric Elvis teaming up with a black JFK to
fight an ass sucking mummy in cheesy cowboy attire
in an east texas rest home. If that is not
brilliance then I do not know what is.
What surprised me was how touching the film was
for a great deal of the time. Sure there are
laughs, but I found myself actually caring for the
characters and not just because of the actors that
played them.

Road House

Had a lady tell me once I was much more Sam than
Sawyze. I kissed her a lot after that ;)

Rambo

Hazard to say that this is the best of them!

My wife is always using the bubblegum line!

Prince Of Darkness
|
|
This is an excellent film. Not just horror film,
but film. Smart, well done, and you need a handy
little helping of a few different disciplines of
physics to really understand it which I felt was
very brave. One of my all time favorites. I never
touch mirrors!

Night Of The Living Dead 3D
|
|
I will sit through any zombie movie...ANY! And I
had to FORCE myself to sit through this
outlandishly bad piece of trash. Not even in the
so bad it is great catagory. Just gawd aweful. Sid
and 3D boobs...you are right brother...the ONLY
saviors and nowhere near enough. Bought it to have
on the shelf and never ever ever watch again.

Zombie

I have often made folks watch the eyeball scene at
parties.

The Beyond

Got the box set just to see Phil play guitar in
Necrophagia's "You Will Live In Terror".
I love the ever so smart doctor that cannot seem
to get it in his head to aim for the head and then
reloads...down the barrel! Catch Catriana's
chuckle at that?
|
Nightmare City
|
|
One of the first of the "running" zombie
films wasn't it? Took me forever to track it down
again. Even laid my greedy hands on the
wonderfully terrible disco italian soundtrack!
That tv dance show...wow. I mean holy crap wow. I
was born in the 70's and I cannot recall ever
watching anything that fantastically rediculous!
This was the 28 Days Later of its time.

Hey, the girl in her bedroom was not bad at all.
Did you catch the cameo of Vince? Still killing
the wrong folks!!!!

Halloween 4: The Return Of Michael Myers
|
|
This is the one where Mikey is the creepiest. The
director really uses that "nobody is there in
that creepy semi lit scene, but you never
know". The title sequence is one of the very
best EVER. Beautifully horrific in simplicity and
subtle music. Very ballsy not to use the wonderful
theme right off. When Mikeys face appears out of
those shadows as a tiny white dot...still gives me
the shivers.

The Dead Pit
|
|
I have that VHS tape also! One of my prizes. Bless
the 80's for their packaging!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Death
by hose scene...awesome. Great panties ;)
I
loved how the zombies moved. It made them scary.
Having grown up less than 6 miles from a huge
abandoned insane asylum, this was a fun one.
FINALLY a dvd!
|
Night Of The Living Dead
|
|
I agree! This film would have stood alone as a
great zombie movie. Unlike some remakes, this one
stays true and does very well. I remember seeing
it in the theaters and just cheering throughout.
Anyone catch the CANDYMAN gag? Anyone catch the
cameo? HINT: look closely at the sheriff. Great
great stuff. I want to see Tom do some more!!!
|
Scarecrows
|
|
Finally recognition!!!! I have been telling folks
for years how great this little gem is! For me
there are fewer things more wonderfully creepy
than Scarecrows. This movie is wonderful in its
ability to put the viewer in a state of constant
unease. Its use of darkness, the subtle music, and
even a touch of "country creepy" makes
it work so well.
