Carrie
I kind of agree with George on this one. And I
actually liked the 2002 made-for-tv remake
starring Angela Bettis better than this because at
least it tried to do something different. 5/10
Texas Chainsaw
I've come to accept that I love shitty slasher
movies. I liked this, and I also liked Halloween:
Resurrection, but I seem to be in the minority.
7/10
Sorority Sister Slaughter
With a title like that, you'd think it would be an
awesome homage to 80's b-horror like Sorority
House Massacre. Too bad it sounds like it sucks.
Hatchet II
Best slasher movie since the first Hatchet! 10/10
Let Me In
"Reeve's pumped out as much gore and
shock-scares as possible, which is the exact
fucking opposite of what the original wanted to
be." Really? I like gore and
shock-scares a lot better than a slow pace which I
thought the original had. So I might like this one
better than the original, because I have a short
attention span. Hey, i didn't flunk out of college
for nothing.
Video Violence 2
I just won the Video Violence double feature DVD
on e-bay for $7.99 with free shipping! That's a
good deal for two cheesy fun movies.
Graduation Day
How did this movie gross 23 million dollars at the
box-office? It did better than Prom Night, Terror
Train, and some of the entries in the Friday the
13th series.
Piranha
Who would have thought that a movie about killer
fish would have more gore and a bigger body count
than any movie in the Friday the 13th series. And
more nudity too! 8/10 for the gore alone. Would
have been higher if the first half wouldn't have
been underwhelming in my opinion.
Christmas Evil
You're right. The body count in this one is too
low. There were many lost opportunities for
slaughter, such as at the Christmas Party. That
could have been a bloodbath, but he didn't kill
one person at the party. And how are we supposed
to be scared of someone who runs screaming from a
vigilante team? Would Michael Myers or Jason
Voorhees have done that? No, they would have faced
the vigilantes and killed them. Silent Night
Deadly Night & even Silent Night Deadly Night
2 are way better. 4/10
The Warrior's Way
What weird casting, having Kate Bosworth, Geoffrey
Rush, and Tony Cox in the same movie.
Bikini Bloodbath
Even though it's called Bikini Bloodbath, and has
female nudity, I think this movie would actually
be more appreciated by a gay audience than a
straight one. Mainly because of the gay football
team, and it's basically a homage to the Slumber
Party Massacre series, which has a big gay
following. And it also really campy, sort of a
cross between a John Waters movie and a Troma
movie. 8/10
Halloween: Resurrection
How many times you've been
"bitchslapped" for this review? You
should be allowed to have your own opinion. I
myself have seen this movie several times and
stand by my opinion that it's a fun slasher movie.
But then again I like just about anything with a
masked killer stalking and murdering teens.
Especially if that masked killer is Michael Myers
or Jason Voorhees. 8/10
Friday The 13th
I guess I'm not as picky as everyone else, because
I thought this was a great slasher movie and a
great entry in the series. 10/10
Skyline
It's funny that you mentioned SyFy, because I was
thinking all along that this looked like more of a
SyFy original movie, than something that would be
released in theaters. Plus it stars a few actors
who haven't been in a theatrical movie in years,
as their movies have been either going straight to
DVD. I'm talking about Eric Balfour and Brittany
Daniel.
Night Of The Demons
I bought this the day it came out thinking that I
would surely love it, since I loved the first NOTD
and the sequel NOTD 2. But it was just okay. What
I don't get is that so many people are saying it's
just as good as the first one. In my opinion there
wasn't enough demon action or Shannon Elizabeth.
There was still some entertainment to be had here,
but just like this years Nightmare on Elm Street
remake, it can't touch the original. I give it a
6/10.
Saw: The Final Chapter
How is this a craptastic review? And even though
I'm a fan of the original Saw, I'm not a big fan
of the sequels. I want my Halloween back too! I
don't see the Saw series became a Halloween staple
in the first place. Sure a few in the series are
interesting, but none are particularly scary.
My Soul To Take
Dread Central gave this movie 4 out of 5 stars. I
thought that wasn't right, after seeing the
uninteresting trailer and the fact this wasn't
screened for critics. I haven't seen the movie,
but your review is probably more accurate.
A Serbian Film
You don't have to apologize to anyone for not
liking this movie. It does sound horrible.
Machete
I hope I like it too. I'm sure I will, because I
loved Planet Terror. And that cast is very
interesting. Robert Deniro, Steven Seagal, Jessica
Alba, Lindsey Lohan, and Danny Trejo all in one
movie.
Machete
When I referred to Machete and the other
aforementioned films as guy movies, I din't mean
that those types of movies are the only ones that
appeal to a guy. But the majority of people that
would watch those movies are guys. Just like the
majority of people that go see a Sandra Bullock or
Julia Roberts movie are women, therefore those
movies are called "chick flicks."
Machete
Oh, I guess I should have said "fun"
movies instead of "guy" movies. And
what's wrong with mindless action movies? I'd
rather watch those than two hours of just people
talking about boring shit. But I flunked out of
college twice, so what do I know.
Machete
I'm glad that a lot of "guy" movies are
being released in theaters right now. After months
of endless kiddie movies and chick flicks, us men
are finally getting what we want to see with The
Expendables, Piranha 3D and Machete all being
released in the last few weeks.
Piranha
I want to see this movie so bad. It just sounds
like b-movie wet dream come true. Too bad I live
in a small town surrounded by other small towns
and our cheap theaters didn't get it, so I guess
I'll have to wait for dvd.
Friday The 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan
I watched this movie again tonight to celebrate
Friday the 13th. Every time I watch it, I like it
more and more. I mean, where else can you see
Jason on a subway train, and bringing destruction
to a cafe. 10/10
Trick 'R Treat
Instead of releasing a Saw movie every Halloween,
they should release a Trick 'R Treat every
Halloween. Of course, they'd probably go
direct-to-video like this one dead. 9/10
Citizen Toxie: The Toxic Avenger IV
Shakes, I guess I'm not a serious fan of film
because I loved this movie. Up until Poultrygeist:
Night of the Chicken Dead came out, this was my
favorite Troma movie. And who needs
"something remotely intelligent" when
you have non-stop violence, boobs, and
outrageously offensive humor? 10/10
Demon Divas And The Lanes Of Damnation
I wish someone would this out on DVD already. I
really want to see it. It's got two of my favorite
actresses in it (Debbie Rochon & Brinke
Stevens) and it sounds like Sorority Babes In The
Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama or Nightmare Sisters. And we
don't get many movies like that anymore.
Leprechaun 3
This was my favorite in this delightful series.
8/10
Motor Home Massacre
Wow, I thought I was the only one that got any
enjoyment out of this one. 7/10 as well.
The Mutilator
I saw this movie for the first time last week on
vhs. It was so dark and bad quality. I think I'd
enjoy it much better on dvd if they officially
release it on dvd.
Jason X
Jason X is one of my favorite guilty pleasures.
8/10
Basket Case
The sequels are actually better. I was bored while
watching most of the first Basket Case. 3/10
