When the notorious Diaper Mafia take hostage the Tromaville School for the Very Special, only the Toxic Avenger and his morbidly obese sidekick Lardass can save Tromaville. However, an explosion results in some unforeseeable consequences, creating a dimensional tear between Tromaville and its dimensional mirror image, Amortville. While the Toxic Avenger is trapped in Amortville, Tromaville comes under the control of Toxie's evil doppelganger, the Noxious Offender. Will Toxie return to Tromaville in time to stop Noxie's rampage or is he doomed to remain a second-class citizen in Amortville forever? How did Toxie's wife Sarah become pregnant with two babies from two different fathers? Will Tito ever get over his teen angst and become a productive member of society?

When creating a sequel, it's always important to outdo the original film in the series, and that's exactly what Lloyd and the gang set out to do in the first sequel to the cult classic film known as The Toxic Avenger. Wait... what's that you say? There were already two other sequels before this one? Well, that's technically correct, but Troma themselves acknowledged that those films sucked and proclaimed this to be the one true sequel during the opening scene. Thank goodness for honesty, right?
A school for "special students" is the setting for the opening scene of the film, and it's there that we watch as the Diaper Mafia breaks in and holds the retards hostage. Yes, folks, this is the first thing we see in the movie, and it only gets worse from there. Faster than you can say "Superwho? Batwhat?", The Toxic Avenger (David Mattey) - Tromaville's favorite superhero - and his trusty sidekick Lardass (Joe Fleishaker) step in to save the day. Although he puts up a good fight and neatly disposes of more than a few of the Diaper Mafia members, Toxie isn't able to save the entire school as the leader of this gang of miscreants has planted a bomb in there. As if a parking lot full of retard-o-bits wasn't bad enough, the resulting explosion also thrusts Toxie into the alternate dimension of Amortville, a place where everything has been reversed. Even worse? Toxie's counterpart from this dimension - Noxious Offender - has been transported to Tromaville in Toxie's place, and since things are reversed, Noxious is pure evil and goes on a murderous rampage. Now, Toxie must somehow find his way back to Tromaville, be there when his wife Sarah (Heidi Sjursen) gives birth to their baby boy, fight off the evil Sgt. Kabukiman (Paul Kyrmse), and of course, defeat the evil version of himself in a battle of light-mops. Aiding him in his mission is a pair of retards from the school - Tito the Retarded Rebel (Michael Budinger) and Sweetie Honey (Lisa Terezakis) - but will they be enough? I doubt it.
Although Lloyd can't exactly rewrite history with a simple opening scrawl during one of his films, there's no doubt that this is the true sequel to The Toxic Avenger; in fact, if this were the first time we ever saw Toxie in action, it would have opened the floodgates for a couple of sequels of its own - it's that damned strong. It's chock full of everything that Troma fans have come to expect from the company, and although they've been on a bit of a decline in recent years (here's hoping that Poultrygeist turns things around for them), I have to say that this one easily ranks up in their top ten accomplishments of all time.
Not familiar with a Troma film? After watching this one, be prepared to either fall in love with it or run screaming to your local politician depending on how easily you find yourself getting offended as nothing is sacred this time around. Lloyd pokes fun at every sensitive topic imaginable, and the results have never been funnier. Nazis, abortion clinics, school shootings, KKK lynchings, gays, retards, rape, and religion are but a few of the topics that they manage to cover during the running time, and yes, it seemingly pushes the line of good taste in every other scene; however, this particular viewer simply couldn't quit laughing throughout all of it. It's offensive, it's crude, and it's low-brow, but goddamned if it isn't a classic Troma film.
Of course, it wouldn't be a Troma film without loads of mindless violence, insane kills, and more boobies than you can shake a stick at, and once again, Lloyd and crew have raised the bar in regards to what a Troma film should deliver. It seemed like we couldn't go two scenes without one of the above making its way on screen, and - par for the course with a Troma film - it was all done in a campy, over-the-top way that just had me squealing with delight. There were also dozens of cameo appearances, with people like Debbie Rochon, Ron Jeremy, Corey Feldman, James Gunn, Al Goldstein, Julie Strain, Stan Lee, and Eli Roth popping in from time to time, and there was also one very special cameo that will blow fans of the original away.
A lot of the recent Troma offerings have made me embarrassed to support the company, but this is the kind of movie that makes me want to load up on their classics and have a Troma evening in front of the tube. It features everything that one could ask for from a Troma film, and it's a true classic not only in their impressive library, but in the world of cinema as well. 10/10.

I'm a huge fan of the original but from my
perspective this was utter trash, way over the
line plain stupid. yes i said it. even as a self
parody it fails. I almost didnt finish this
nearly-worthless "the real sequel"
because it was so juvenile, boring and lame. i
never thought it was possible to be too
Tromatically off the wall and outrageous that its
unbelievably BAD. if it takes you 2 shitty
attempts over 15 years to put together a
"true sequel" then you got a problem for
real man. I guess I didn't have enough drugs in
my system to dumb myself down to the retarded
level capable of enjoying the movie. then again
I'm not huge into Troma movies like I was as a
teenager, im sure i would have loved it back then
when I was failing middle school. sorry, Lloyd,
I'll just stick with the first one.I do think it
deserves some credit for what it is but I'm
positive I don't ever want to see it again. 5.5/10

Um, yeah, no. I freakin LOVED every minute of this
film. Granted Ill give money to Kaufman for just
about anything but this one ALMOST rivals Tromeo
and Juliet for best troma movie ever.... almost. I
coudnt stop laughing thru the whole thing! Im
talking gut busting, out loud, people in other
rooms comming in to see what the hell is going on
in here, type funny. I even named one of my pet
rats "Tito the wetodded webble". And to
this day when people start to annoy me I inform
tham that they are giving me a tummy ache in my
brain. Buckets of blood, Tits, Cock sucking,
midgets, babies killing each other, retards,
racist jokes, Drug use, Nazis, alternate
dimensions, homos AND lesbos, a super hero named
Master Bater oh and Cory Freakin FELDMAN!!......
this film has everything.

I respect your opinion, and I'm glad you enjoyed
it. I loved how certain actors randomly showed up
(besides stupid fucking Eli Roth).but especially
C. Feldman, R. Jeremy, and ones from the first
toxie. but this pokey film was just a pile of
crap. I don't blame them for milking Toxie for all
he's worth (nothin wrong wit capitalism), but this
movie was like a sack o garbage that should've
been taken out weeks ago. Tromeo and Juliet is a
heall ofa lot better than this IMO...anyone who
HONESTLY believes that this movie is one of the
"greatest films ever made" has been
lliving off rock or under one for the last decade
or so.. "this is film has everything",
yea? how about any valid scenes presenting us
with something remotely intelligent-- not a
jumbled mix of mind numbing junk. any serious fan
of film will tell you this movie reeked of shite.

I'm sorry shakes... so, you've NEVER seen a Troma
movie up to this one?
Intelligence? Valid
scenes? Shut-up. I'm not sure how a single human
being can honestly enjoy ANY of Kaufman's films
and then think this one a "jumbled mix of
mind-numbing junk". Opinions are opinions, I
guess, but I just really can't see where yours is
coming from.

Shakes, I guess I'm not a serious fan of film
because I loved this movie. Up until Poultrygeist:
Night of the Chicken Dead came out, this was my
favorite Troma movie. And who needs
"something remotely intelligent" when
you have non-stop violence, boobs, and
outrageously offensive humor? 10/10
