Poor Mason. He's a bum, living on the streets with only one friend to keep him company, and his little pet dog. We start the movie with him up in an alley, and his dog dies after running into the streets and getting slammed by a car. The next day, he wakes up to find his friend dead. Things just don't get any better, so he decides to kill himself via walking in front of a semi. A guy that was handing out free lunches to bums had followed him, and pushed him out of the way, saving his life. He offers Mason a job as a hunting guide, which he accepts. They get out to the woods, and Mason learns that he will be the hunted on this trip. Will he make it out alive?

When I saw that Ice-T was the main character in this movie, I didn't expect much; normally, it's a given that rappers-turned-actor can't act. I'd never seen him in a movie before, so I gave it a chance. Suprisingly, Ice-T pulled out a good performance. All of the hunters did nice enough in their roles, except for the pussy-kid; he was frightfully annoying. Thankfully, he didn't have a whole hell of a lot of lines or on-screen time. Gary Busey pulled out a fine performance, as always.

On the storyline side of things, not much for originality here. This storyline has been done countless times, but you usually can't go too wrong with it. There were a few weak moments, such as countless times when the hunters could have easily popped a cap in Mason's ass and didn't, but what can you do. There wasn't too much for special effects, only a couple of scenes; but what was there was nice enough.

Overall, worth a rent if you're into this type of movie. 6/10.
