Hydra Tech is the world's leader in just about every sort of product imaginable... they produce dessert items, weapons of mass destruction, army materials, and they even clean up after zombie epidemics. One member of this corporation decides to invest in some "Trioxin 5" (I thought it was called 2-4-5 Trioxin?), and has no problems scoring a few barrels of the chemical thanks to his connections to a couple of shady Russians located in Chernobyl. He plans to perform some experiments with the chemical, with the main project involving the creation of "uber zombies" for use in wars (I thought they already tried that in the third movie?).

The movie then decides to focus on the real star of the "film" (I use that term loosely), that being Julian Garrison (John Keefe), who just so happens to be the teenage nephew of the aforementioned Trioxin researcher. Julian is your average kid, with the average set of high school friends and the typical amount of teen angst. When one of said friends is involved in a dirt-bike accident, the set of friends eventually finds out that Hydra Tech owns the local hospitals and brings patients to their research labs to serve as human guinea pigs. They decide to suit up with armor and weapons ala The A-Team and infiltrate the place to save their friend, they accidentally release the zombies, carnage ensues, blah blah... the more I talk about this film, the worse the taste in my mouth gets.

The Return Of The Living Dead is my favorite zombie movie of all time, and it's also one of my favorite movies period. The first sequel was average, the second sequel was surprisingly good, and then along came this piece of cinematic shit. There's so many things that I want to gripe about in regard to this film that I honestly don't know where to start. Ellory Elkayem, congratulations - you have outdone both House Of The Dead and Day Of The Dead 2 in the "worst zombie movies ever" category.

Those two movies were complete and utter shit, make no mistake about it; however, they at least had the sense to keep the focus of the film mainly on the zombies. Here, the storyline focuses on some melodramatic teen angst bullshit for a while, before turning into some sort of bizarre dirt-bike film (imagine if XXX was about dirt-bikes instead of street-racing). When I pick up a film called Return Of The Living Dead, I'd like to see some zombie action; I'm not in the market to watch a bunch of jack-offs ride their bikes around for a solid ten minutes in scenes which really have nothing to do with the film.

When it was released, The Return Of The Living Dead brought some originality to the table. The zombies in this film could run, and you couldn't put them down with a simple gunshot to the head; no sir, you had to burn the corpses until nothing was left of them but ashes. It seems as though our good friend Elkayem forgot which movie he was making a pointless sequel to, as the zombies here can not only be put down with a gunshot to the head or chest, but they can also be disposed of with a simple kick to the face. Hell, a couple of them appear to die of fright when the zombies standing next to them are shot. The zombies here can't decide whether they want to shamble along or run at superhuman speeds; they tend to mope around like something out of a Romero flick for the most part, but as we see in one scene, they can outrun a car driving at full-speed. Continuity in regards to the series or even the goddamned movie you're directing, Ellory?

How about those slow-motion deaths from the zombies? You know, when the zombie gets shot in the chest, and we get to witness him falling to the ground in his death throes in the glory of slow-motion? It wasn't very original the first time we saw it in this film, and it certainly gets old by the thousandth time we witness it. One would think "A thousand kills? Wow, must be a gory film!", but in that case, one would be wrong. The film originally aired on the Sci-Fi Channel, but I waited for the DVD due to the fact that I had assumed that it would be cut to shreds in that network airing. With the exception of maybe (maybe) three clips that run for a total of ten seconds, the film found on this DVD could air totally uncensored (and it probably did).

Ellory Elkayem took everything that made the original movie great, threw it in the trashcan, and replaced it all with every cliché in the Hollywood handbook of bad film-making. When the zombie in The Return Of The Living Dead picked up the ambulance radio and requested that they "Send more paramedics", it was both funny and disturbing. When the zombie in Return Of The Living Dead: Necropolis gives a speech about the hero of the film giving googly-eyes to his former girlfriend, it's downright disgusting. There is absolutely nothing redeeming about this piece of garbage, and I feel as though I need to take a long, hot shower after watching it. 0/10.

"Send more security guards.".....Haha, lets just rip off the best line ever from the first one and change it to security guards. Yeah, that'll be cool. I agree this movie fucking blew.

THIS MOVIE WAS AMAZING! The lovely acting, charecter-driven story, and excellent gore effects! Cinematic wonder! Wait a sec--? "Return of the Living Dead Part 4"? This was a peice of shit! I hated it, I waited a week to catch 4 and 5 when they premiered on Sci-Fi... Then I remembered something while admiring the all around pissy quality of it: "This is a Sci-Fi original! Right! I forgot..." -2/10. That's right... negative two.

Song that played during the end credits was pretty good, if only it wasn't a test of endurance to get that far.
