Ugh. I wasn't expecting much going in, but sheesh, this one was quite bad. I'm just going to break it down for this review.

Effects: Very horrid. I've seen home-made joke mpeg's that were more realistic than this. We'd see the scarecrow kill someone, it would switch to computer mode, where it would look almost cartoonish, then snap back to reality. For some of the kills, it'll show the bodies after the killing has been had, and those were done decently enough... especially the bimbo. The scarecrow itself was alright. Nothing to write home about, but it was decent. Throughout the movie, at random intervals, it would switch to an artsy looking camera mode... when people moved, they'd leave trails with their arms, speech was muffled, it seemed like they were trying to show how a druggy would view the world. Why? You got me.

Storyline / Continuity: Yikes. Guy gets killed by a looney farmer, his soul goes into a scarecrow, now he wants to kill all his friends. Again I ask, why? You got me there, as it was never explained. People in this movie would pop up out of nowhere, which was quite confusing at times. We see the army guy and his bimbo, plus the main chick. Her friend shows up. Yells for them to get into the car. In they all jump, along with the cop... who wasn't there two seconds ago. Main chick will be looking around the house by her lonesome, and wait... friend suddenly appears by her side, and chick isn't the least bit daunted, since apparently, he'd been there the whole time. Nice.

Acting: Tony Todd (Candyman) did great in his role. He died off in the first 20 minutes. The blonde bimbo was hilarious ("a bumblebee? How's a little itty-bitty bug going to hurt a mean ol' scarecrow?!"). She got about five minutes of total on-screen time. Everyone else had zero acting skills, with zilch for effort. The old lady who rang me up when I purchased this DVD sounded more scared and/or pissed than anyone in this movie did... and she said about one sentence.

I'd say this one deserves about a 2... if that.

that scarecrow on the cover reminds me of Shaggy 2 Dope for some reason

I saw the first one, but could not force myself to see the sequel. The first film was one of those wannabe horror films that make you laugh your ass off, even though you know the director expected you to be jumping out of your seat. What a shitty, shitty film. 0/10.

I like how Chad had to give us a little hint as to who Tony Todd was.
If you don't know who he is, why the hell are you even here?
I downloaded this film accidentally, thinking it was another film with a similar title, and wow, did I ever waste my time. 3/10

I loved the scarecrows costume....other than that a total waste of time. Its like they spent the whole budget on the one costume and just tried to build some sort of plot arround that.
