Fuad Ramses III moves into town, and decides to reopen his grandfather's catering business. Things are going nicely, until he finds the statue of Ishtar in a closet. As you may recall from the first movie, Ishtar is the Goddess Of Blood. Fuad falls under the statues spell, and now he must complete the Blood Feast that his grandfather attempted to do. Things work out nicely for Fuad, as Mrs. Lampley and her daughter Tiffani walk in a short while later, and want some catering for Tiffani's wedding. Fuad is glad to oblige, and sets out to gather the ingredients he needs from various women; namely, a brain, pancreas, liver, some eyes, fingers, etc. Detective Michael Myers and David Loomis are on the case and trying to track down the killer, and while Myers is convinced that Fuad is the one behind all this, Loomis thinks that Myers is just blaming him for what his grandfather did.

Great film here, even if it did take ol' Lewis thirty-nine years to make the sequel. This one follows the general storyline and plot of the first film, though he goes with a mix of extreme gore and comedy this time around. Some parts of this movie actually seem like a parody of the 1963 original, but it comes off extremely well. Since the movie focuses almost entirely on kills, gore, comedic scenes and the occasional set of tits, there's really not much for storyline, though that doesn't affect the overall viewing experience... it never gets boring or dull, I assure you.

Since gore is such a huge part of this movie, it's a good thing that Herschell Gordon Lewis (named "The Godfather Of Gore") is behind this one. The blood flows freely, and the camera makes no attempt to shy away from any of it. Instead, we get to see every bit of the slaughtering and dismemberment, and we also see every organ as they're pulled out of the victims bodies. The actual effects are also very nicely done, and quite realistic. And per usual, the kills aren't just simple stabs or slashes; no sir, we get corkscrews through the ears, causing brains to fall out... an electric carving knife used to cut open a skull... a bum who pulls his own intestines out... a face ripped off, and much more throughout. Never a dull moment, I assure you.

The comedic things are also great, in the sense that for the most part, they're very subtle. There's the obvious comedic aspects to the detectives and their theories, but there's also things such as Loomis' constant eating and some very subtle references to other movies and television shows; Tiffani lives on 1311 Mockingbird Lane, for example. Then, there's the character names... Michael Myers is an obvious one, and there's also the young ladies who get sliced up; Bambi Deere, Misti Morning, Laci Hundees, Trixi Treater and Candi Graham all end up on the receiving end of a good old-fashioned shanking of some sorts.

Overall, definitely worth the viewing if you're into dark comedies and gorefests. While that concept isn't exactly original, it works out nicely here. 9/10.

I was more than suprised to see that they made a squal to "Blood Feast", I was fuckin' happy! I loved BF and when I saw this at Hollywood I nearly fainted... This movie... made well over 10 years after the original, still brought the gore a hair-raising groutesqe-ity that the first one conveyed. I give this a 9.4/10
