A "National Geographic" crew heads down the Amazon in a jungle boat to make a documentary on a long-lost tribe of natives. En route, they rescue a hunter from his sinking boat and take him on board. After the ship's captain is attacked by a poisonous insect and goes comatose, the hunter commandeers the boat, takes the crew hostage, and drags them along on his insane quest to capture a giant anaconda.

A bunch of filmmakers venture down the Amazon to do research and film a thought-to-be-extinct tribe of Indians, known as "The People Of The Mists". While venturing down the river, they come across Paul, who is stranded on a wrecked boat. They take him on board, and he claims to know the whereabouts of this tribe; however, he has other intentions, mainly dealing with capturing this huge anaconda. As the movie progresses, he cares less and less about helping them or being nice, and more and more about stalking this snake.
My word, that snake was very obviously CGI...... they didn't try to blend it in with the scenery at all. Since that snake was pretty much the main focus, and add in that there wasn't too much going for this flick elsewhere, well...
J.Lo needs to retire from movies. Period. She's nice to look at, but ruins any movie she touches. Ice Cube, while not as bad, definitely should shy away from movies a bit himself. Voight was decent, but had a touch of the over-actedness in scenes.
The storyline was quite retarded, to put it bluntly. He said he needed a partner to catch the snake..... so why didn't he just partner up with the driver of the boat, considering they were in cohorts? Would have made a lot more sense than hijacking someone elses boat, but again, I digress.
