You know, if I were a drunken frat boy who had the opportunity to bed a pair of gorgeous blonde cousins, I don't think that I'd mind them being aliens from another planet. Sure, dying while having sex with them probably wouldn't be too much fun, especially when said death comes as a result of freezing from the inside out, but hey - life is full of sacrifices, right?

Such is the case in this comedic sci-fi / horror film (try saying that one five times fast). Luke (Corey Sevier) and Roger (Elias Toufexis) are a pair of college roommates who decide that getting drunk and doing some laundry is a great way to spend a brisk winter evening. Luckily for them, the night is about to get a whole lot better when two young ladies who introduce themselves as Lilly (Stefanie von Pfetten) and Constance (Kim Poirier) walk in, and as we quickly find out, these cousins don't fool around when it comes to putting the moves on guys. After the ladies do some heavy-duty flirting with our hero Luke, they set up a date and take their leave from the laundry room... but, much to Luke's delight, they forgot to take the roll of quarters that they had brought with them. Luke, being the thoughtful person that he is, takes this opportunity to go to their dorm room, and after getting no response to his repeated knocks on their door, he decides to let himself in. He decides to poke around a bit, but as he's doing so, the kissing cousins come back. Now hiding in the closet, Luke decides to watch as the ladies strip down and get ready for bed; life is grand for him as he watches the T&A display, but then he notices the tiny little detail about the alien tentacles coming out of Lilly's chest.

As it turns out, these alien hotties are attempting to save their species by breeding with humans; however, the human male inevitably dies during intercourse, and being's how these ladies are quite "promiscuous", it doesn't take long for the bodies to pile up. Luke knows the truth, but of course, nobody believes him when he claims that those females aren't what they seem - nobody, that is, except for his lady friend and secret admirer Alex (Meghan Ory).

When I popped this movie in, I expected to be treated to some silly CGI sequences, some nice displays of T&A, and some sort of atrociously-bad sci-fi storyline. While I can't say that I was wrong on any of those accounts, I can say that the end result was much better than I expected. While this film will never win any awards or round out any year-end "best of" lists, it's more than sufficient for an evening of mindless entertainment in front of the tube, and honestly, sometimes that's all you want from a movie.

What benefits this movie the most is that it quickly becomes apparent that director Matthew Hastings knew that he wasn't putting together a serious, sci-fi masterpiece and decided to considerably lighten the mood. In the hands of most Hollywood directors, this film would have been played out as a straightforward horror flick, and if that had happened here, you'd be reading a much more hateful review. However, there's a fair amount of comedy thrown in (and I don't mean the cheesy one-liners that most big-budget action films are plagued with), and the cast are allowed to have some fun with their roles. Sure, most of the cast aren't turning in career-defining performances here, but they're more than sufficient given the premise and tone of the film at hand.

As I mentioned earlier, this film is loaded with silly CGI effects, plenty of T&A from some smoking-hot females, and an atrociously-bad sci-fi storyline. If you can handle that, well, here's your movie. While it's not a deep, insightful film and the small dose of romance found within probably won't bring a tear to your eye, it's still an entertaining film that does a good job of killing ninety minutes on a painfully-hot summer day. 5/10.
