Inglourious Basterds
Inglourious Basterds I usually don't like Tarrantino's work, love him as a director just not the art. This movie was the exception though. It was made of win and awesome.

Running Scared
Running Scared It went on for way too long and once the final act started you wondered how many more times you would see a final act. Some stuff in the movie just made you say "WTF" like the child abductors. The first half of the movie was great, but the second half killed it.

Taken
Taken I give it a 7/10. Some of the stuff was so unreal but satisfying. It's good the first 2 or 3 times you watch it but after that it gets stale.

Terminator Salvation
Terminator Salvation It was okay. Didn't have the Terminator score though which was the biggest disappointment.

The Terminator
The Terminator I like this one better as the second. Why? Because Evil Arnold makes for a much more fun protagonist than Liquid man.

Mortal Kombat
Mortal Kombat I like Street Fighter better.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre This has become one of my favorite horror movies as I've matured. I understand and appreciate it more. The setting adds so much to it and the grainy feel is something to be admired.

Rambo: First Blood Part II
Rambo: First Blood Part II This is the one in the series that everyone seems to remember most. This is the stereotypical Rambo. I guess going around killing cops was too hardcore so why not remember him for killing "gooks".

Not as good as the first, not as good as the 4th, but still pretty darn good.

Half Baked One of the better weed movies.

Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back Stay up out my kool-aid/10

Grandma's Boy
Grandma's Boy I like this movie. It's funny but it does start to lose it's flare after multiple viewings. Swardson was epic. also how can anyone forget the line "I'll go to the looney bin with you I don't give a fuck!" that line alone saved this movie.

Evil Dead II
Evil Dead II Remake or not a remake this movie is epic. I like it better than the first simply because of one scene.. The effing dear head.

The Wrestler
The Wrestler I love this movie. It's a bit long for what it is but it doesn't take away from the enjoyment. Great story.

Scary Movie
Scary Movie Get's funnier with age. It is probably the best of the series but that still ain't saying much.

Blades Of Glory
Blades Of Glory Average movie but I liked it

Anchorman: The Legend Of Ron Burgundy
Anchorman: The Legend Of Ron Burgundy It was funny the first time I watched it. Then everyone quoted it to death and then the director's cut cut came out and ruined it. 4/10 at best.

The 40-Year-Old Virgin
The 40-Year-Old Virgin Steve can play only 1 character. That is Scott from the office. Scott from the Office does a great job in this movie. however this is the only movie I can say is good with Carrel.

Click
Click Had potential but I've come to expect failure with all Happy Madison films.

Ghostbusters
Ghostbusters Just got it on Blu-Ray.. OMG.. So much better than that crappy 2005 HD transfer.
Posted by Rest Easy Soul on July 25, 2010
Rambo
Rambo I like this one better than part 2 and a heck of a lot better than part 3. It's not as good as First Blood but it's almost as epic. Gory action packed goodness.

Dawn Of The Dead
Dawn Of The Dead I hate zombie movies but this was a great one. I can see why people love these movies.
Posted by Rest Easy Soul on July 25, 2010
Land Of The Dead
Land Of The Dead I hate this movie. Not because its bad but because I was tripping on some hard stuff when I first saw it.. You just don't get over that kind of fear.

Shaun Of The Dead
Shaun Of The Dead 10/10.

First Blood
First Blood One of my all time favorites and the reason why Sly is my favorite action star.

Trick 'R Treat
Trick 'R Treat One of the best horror movies in a long time. I love the multi-story formula and this movie does it really well. Easily one of my all time favorite horror films.

Requiem For A Dream
Requiem For A Dream Excellent. Just excellent.

Freddy vs. Jason
Freddy vs. Jason Awesome yet average.

Friday The 13th
Friday The 13th If this movie was the first 10 minutes only it would be horror movie gold. You start out with Jason not giving any mercy to anyone and running and slashing his absolute hardest and spilling their blood everywhere. Possibly the best intro I've ever seen,

But the actual movie is very average. Okay, but average. It bothered me that they tried to change the cannon of the Jason story.

A Nightmare On Elm Street
A Nightmare On Elm Street The first horror movie I watched all by myself and actually watched it all the way through. Amazing to say the least. My favorite in the whole series and it will always have a special place in my heart.

Friday The 13th Part VI: Jason Lives
Friday The 13th Part VI: Jason Lives The opening is what made this movie. Jason's resurrection was priceless and a shout out to the old Frankenstein.

Friday The 13th: A New Beginning
Friday The 13th: A New Beginning I loved this one, but not as much as 4. Corey Feldman made that movie awesome. I really only enjoy IV-VII of this series but this is the second best IMO.

Friday The 13th: The Final Chapter
Friday The 13th: The Final Chapter MY favorite installment in the series. Corey Feldman is the man.

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street
Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street Slasher meets musical.. Finally something a boy and girl can agree on.

Charlie And The Chocolate Factory
Charlie And The Chocolate Factory I love Johnny Depp and I love Tim burton. This movie doesn't fail to impress but I will say it's not as good and magical as the first. Visually this one has it beat but the original had more heart, better music, better cast and was more light-hearted.

I still love this movie.

The Dark Knight
The Dark Knight I didn't read any of the above comments but I will try to give my own personal view.

I think this movie was great but was WAY too long and had plenty of dialogue driven scenes that were very unnecessary. A few plot holes yes, but it's just another movie being nitpicked to death by everyone.

When I saw it in theaters I was blown away and awe struck and of course my expectations were far exceeded, but after all the hype dies down it's just another 5-star movie. Not one of my top 10, but definitely a cinematic accomplishment and among the top 20 (debatable)

Other than my minor complaints it's still a very good movie. 9/10

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret Of The Ooze
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret Of The Ooze Obviously more tame than the first which really bothers me. Soccer moms are notorious for ruining great movies or complaining about violence and minor language. Still a great nostalgic movie, but doesn't come close to the first.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Agreed with Rik, easily among the top films from my youth. One of the first movies I would watch everyday and one of the first movies I heard cussing..

TMNT
TMNT Loved it. Nostalgia.

Spider-Man 2
Spider-Man 2 I thought it was the best for the longest time, then I watched it again and it was boring. Has no lasting affect but boy does it blow you away the first time you see it. As of now I still consider the first one the best.
Posted by Rest Easy Soul on January 24, 2010
Spider-Man
Spider-Man Easily the best and the first HUGE production movie I was excited about seeing. I had wanted since I was little to see Spidey on the big screen and how sweet it was. Great villain choice too.

The Crow: Salvation
The Crow: Salvation It was very average but in the better half of average more towards the okay side. It's not as good as the first, but so much better than the sequel and I loved both the main actors in this one upon my first viewing. I had just got done enjoying Cruel Intentions trilogy when I watched this and it was IMO combining a great actor with a great premise.
Posted by Rest Easy Soul on January 24, 2010
The Crow: City Of Angels
The Crow: City Of Angels This movie was very boring and a terrible follow up to one of my favorite movies all time. It was unoriginal, inspired too much by the first one, and seriously.. Why did they have to bring Shelley back?!

Red Eye
Red Eye Let me go on the record saying I love Murphy and his "smug" personality in roles he plays. This performance doesn't fall short in any way and while I will say it's not the best suspense movie ever made, it's still a great one. Short and sweet.

Disturbia
Disturbia I give it a strong 9/10.

Sure similar movies have been made but IMO this movie is what bolstered Labeouf's career in the movie industry and established him as my personal favorite up and coming actor.

WALL·E
WALL·E No dialogue until almost half way in, the characters were obviously created to simply be cute as well as annoying (WWWAAAAAALLLLLLL EEEEEE)

I will give it great visuals and an okay score but the weakest Pixar movie IMO.
Posted by Rest Easy Soul on January 21, 2010
Avatar
Avatar I love this movie and think it's a top 10 in the past decade. The visuals were phenomenal, the story was incredible, the characters were so attachable and when watched in 3D.. You really feel like a part of the movie. 10/10.
